Our manifesto
Our manifesto.

FLONG is dedicated to editorial excellence.

With minimal fuss, we’ll dovetail with your team and deliver written content that works hard. Here’s how we do it.

We’re pragmatic. Our complete focus is on producing work that achieves your goals. We’ll choose the simplest approach to make the greatest impact.

We’re flexible. We’ll adapt to your way of working and adopt the right voice for your audience. We don’t bring preconceptions to a project – just open minds.

We’re rigorous. At every stage, we’ll present work that’s polished to a high standard, saving time and streamlining the approval process.

We’re professional. We’ll agree a detailed project plan, keep close tabs on workflow from brief to sign-off, and ensure deadlines are met.

We’re connected. We’ve been in this industry a long time. We know where to source the talent and specialist expertise for your project.

We’ll never promise something we can’t deliver, and our fee structures are simple and transparent.

Our services.

Content production

Whether you need to put together a one-off report, a series of features or a whole website, we can craft the perfect copy. We’ll commission the most suitable writers from our network, edit and finesse the content to ensure it’s on brand, and make the approval process swift and straightforward.

Editing and project management

We can provide experienced editors for any print or online publication. We’ll look after flatplanning or site-mapping, find and commission writers, and manage workflow from synopsis to sign-off. We’re highly design-literate: we’ll collaborate closely with your creative team or art desk to make sure the words, images and layout all pull together.

Consultancy and troubleshooting

If you’re seeking an audit of your content or advice on how it might be improved, we’re happy to oblige. And if a project is falling apart, or you’ve been let down with substandard material, we can take over, go back to the brief and quickly get things on track.

About us.

FLONG is a young company with a wealth of experience.

Between us, there’s not much we haven’t done in journalism, commercial editing and content marketing.

We’ve worked for every UK national newspaper, launched contract magazines and helped steer publications to the top of their sector. We’ve won awards for our writing and executed high-profile campaigns for top multinational brands.

Behind us is a network of trusted freelancers: commissioning editors, copywriters, proof-readers and specialists.

Here’s who we are.
